South East Asia

South East Asia refers to the Indochinese Peninsula and the nations of Maritime Southeast Asia. The region is situated in the southeastern part of the continent, south of China, east of India, and north of Australia.

Approximately 668 million people live in Southeast Asia (in 2020).

There are 11 countries in South East Asia, including:

    • Brunei Darussalam
    • Cambodia
    • Indonesia
    • Lao DDR
    • Malaysia
    • Myanmar (Burma)
    • Philippines
    • Singapore
    • Thailand
    • Timor-Leste (East Timor)
    • Vietnam

We’ve traveled extensively in all but Brunei and Timor-Lest, which were both on the itinerary when COVID hit, and we got stuck in one of our favorite countries, Vietnam, for almost two years. 

So if you want to know more about any of the countries:

Select “Asia,” and you’ll see an option for “South East Asia.” You’ll find the individual countries nestled under there.
