Visa Requirements for Tajikistan: Many nationalities can now enter Tajikistan with an evisa. You can also obtain the GBAO permit online these days. Our Experiences in Tajikistan
In May 2012, Catch Our Travel Bug started an independent, budget trip along the Silk Road from Shanghai to Istanbul. We arrived in northeastern Tajikistan in late July. A few days later all hell broke loose, changing our original plans significantly and upping the danger rating from moderate to high.

Bear in mind that the country may have opened up a bit in almost a decade, so some of those challenges won’t be a problem for you. However, COVID-19 has bought a whole new set of challenges, so do your due diligence before heading there, or go with a well-established tour company that can help you avoid any headaches with logistics.
